No, nessuna mutazione genetica, solo un "Vanity Fail", come lo definisce il "Daily Mail", scherzando sul nome della testata, ovvero un clamoroso errore di Photoshop sulla cover di Vanity Fair Usa. Sul suo profilo Twitter la Witherspoon commenta ironica: "Suppongo che tutti sappiano che ho tre gambe. Spero che possiate ancora accettarmi per quello che sono".
